(More customer reviews)The Incase hardshell cases are well made, provide good protection, and add some style to my MacBook Pro. I have the 15" in orange. The case provides full access to all ports, the CD/DVD drive, etc. It constricts the opening of the screen a tiny bit but I am still able to get a good angle on the screen with room to spare. It is so well designed that people have asked me how I got an orange MacBook -- they didn't realize it was a case. I have had one small problem with the top of the case rubbing up against the bottom of the case on the left side, causing a popping sound sometimes when I open the top of the laptop too quickly (the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5).
The case is made of high quality plastic that does not appear to be prone to cracking like cheap plastic can, has a soft matte finish, and is clear enough to see the Apple logo glowing through the top when the laptop is in use and also the battery indicator is still visible. It provides good protection and I like not having to take the case off to use the laptop, meaning I am much more likely to actually use the case and not get lazy and leave it off. For travelling I would put the laptop with the Incase hardshell on into a more padded carrier, such as a rolling bag or padded backpack.
It's not cheap at $50, but worth it due to good construction, great style, excellent design, and to protect my $2,300 laptop.
