(More customer reviews)I have a laptop and new desk top, my son has a desktop of his own. I've been wanting this type of cable for some time but "Worst Buy" wanted $45 for a similiar unit. So for a long time I had been transfering via 4 or 8GB usb drives, which is ok but not nearly as fast as this thing! I transfered 20gb of mp3 music [windows media] from laptop [vista] to son's desktop [windows 7] in about 5 minutes...NO joke! It worked so fast that I thought it did not work at first. It is basically plug 'n play. I set it up, dropped 'n dragged entire music file and walked away. My son was in his room watching TV and told me it was done and at first I thought he was nuts. Amazon comes thru again with best price, no tax, free ship and a great product. Definitely worth getting is you want to move large data, media or picture files.
