(More customer reviews)I am starting to travel more, and my new MacBook Pro 13 is a better size for me to lug around than my older mac 15 laptop. With that being said it isn't as snug in my old Timbuk2 messenger bag which has been a great bag for my old 15" Mac. The sleeve helps me travel leaner since I can safely put this in my travel bags, or backpack without having to carry a separate bag just for my computer. If I needed to, however, the MacBook Pro in the sleeve fits well inside my timbuk2 messenger bag.
About the Sleeve: I had a gift credit so I thought I'd splurge and spend a little more on the microfiber sleeve. Normally I would be looking for a cheaper item, but I am glad I spent the extra money. This fits the laptop perfectly, looks good, and it is comfortable to carry due to the soft microfiber. I have all the confidence in the world that my computer will be protected given the adequate padding, soft inside material, the inside lip that secures the computer and acts as a barrier protecting the computer from the zipper. Not sure how it may be from extreme exposure to water, but initial drops of rain will roll right off the microfiber. Only gripe might be the price, but this appears to be something that will last as it is made well and it will do it's job of protecting the computer. In the end it will be worth it in my opinion.
